Postal Inspector works as Sub-divisional Inspector or IP-PG (Public Grievance) in the Postal Department of India and is in charge of 60-70 post offices. An Inspector in the Central Bureau of Narcotics controls the illicit drug trade. The work profile of both posts is entirely different though they fall under the same Grade Pay. The Postal officer has to promote the business of post offices and is assisted by two mail overseers.
