  • The Assistant in IB is an office job and is the initiator of files. He/ she is liable for activities like assessment and verification of files, preparation of letters and process of files to the next superior level etc.
  • The officers are posted in different sections like the billing section, accounts, political section, technical, office administration and pension section.

SSC CGL Assistant (IB): Selection Process

SSC CGL selection process is very stringent and the exam has two stages i.e. Tier 1 and Tier 2. Details of each tier for the Assistant (IB) post are given below:

  • Tier 1 Exam is mandatory and is very important. Candidates need to qualify for this to attend the next tier.
  • In the Tier 2 exam, candidates need to appear for Paper I only. It will have three sections in it.
  • The three sections will have 2 modules each. The details of the same are given below.
    • Section 1: Mathematical Abilities (Module 1) and Reasoning and General Intelligence (Module 2).
    • Section 2: English Language and Comprehension (Module 1) and General Awareness (Module 2).
    • Section 3: Computer Knowledge Test (Module 1) and Data Entry Speed Test (Module 2).
  • The qualifying candidates will undergo document verification and medical examination before final selection.
