IBPS Probationary Officer (PO) is a managerial-level post in public sector banks in India. IBPS PO 2026 Selection Process
IBPS PO 2026 selection process is carried out in three stages.
- In the Prelims Exam, candidates must qualify in all three sections by securing the minimum cut-off marks.
- Those who clear Prelims move on to the Mains Exam, which has five sections. Candidates need to secure both sectional and overall cut-off scores, though these scores are disclosed only after the interview stage.
- Shortlisted candidates are then called for the Interview, where they must again achieve the minimum qualifying marks. The final merit list is prepared by combining the Mains and Interview scores in an 80:20 ratio, followed by document verification and provisional allotment.
IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training
IBPS PO Pre-exam Training (PET) is an optional facility available to candidates belonging to the SC/ST and Minority Communities. Candidates belonging to these categories can opt for this facility and choose the location of the training center, without any additional cost at the time of filling IBPS PO 2026 Application form. The date for PET will be announced by IBPS on its official website and candidates also have to download a separate call letter to attend the PET.
