Ans: No, a request for change of IBPS PO Exam center change will not be entertained once the form has been submitted.

Ans: Not necessarily, the number of exam centers for Mains exam will be lesser than Prelims exam.

Ans: Yes, the exam will also be held at Union territories.

Ans: Sometimes, it is impossible to accommodate candidates in the most preferred centers. So IBPS allots a different examination center apart from the preferred centers. IBPS decision is final in deciding the exam center and it cannot be changed at any time.

Ans: The call letter along with a photocopy of the candidate’s photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter) such as PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazzetted Officer/ People’s Representative along with a photograph / Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ university/ Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID should be submitted to the invigilator for verification at the exam center.

Q: Ques: What if the documents taken by the candidate to the exam center have some discrepancies?

Ans: If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Center Allotment

Allotment of IBPS PO Exam Centre 2026

The exam centers for IBPS PO would be allocated on the basis of the candidate’s preference filed in IBPS PO Application Form 2026.
Candidates are required to select the “Centre of Examination”, “Centre Code”, “State/UT which the Centre of Examination Belongs” and “State/UT Code” at the time of filling the application form.
IBPS PO exam center would be finalized on the basis of response and administrative feasibility.
IBPS can add or cancel any of the exam centers at its discretion.
The exam conducting authority reserves the final right to allocate a center from the ones selected by the candidate in the application form.
The finally allotted exam center would be mentioned in the Admit Card.

Can IBPS PO Exam Center be Changed?

IBPS does not allow you to change your allotted exam center. It tries its best to allot the closest and the most convenient center to the candidates. Once alloted, no requests to change the exam center will be entertained. For further queries, contact:

Instruction

Instructions for IBPS PO Exam Centre 2026

Candidates are advised to carefully check all the instructions before they appear for the online test:

Documents required: Call Letter, original Photo ID proof and its xerox copy and two passport-size photograph same as uploaded in the application form.
They must occupy only the systems which are allotted to them.
Any type of stationery item and communication devices are prohibited in the examination hall.
The face of the candidates should not be covered while appearing for the examination.
Login for the exam using the Registration ID and Password provided by IBPS.
Candidates must carefully go through the instructions shown on the screen before beginning with the test.
A rough paper would be provided at the exam center and candidates must hand it over to the invigilator before leaving the examination hall.
The system would be automatically locked and all the answers would be submitted after the termination of the allotted time limits.
