NTA will conduct the UGC NET 2020 exam from 24 September 2020 to 13 November 2020. UGC NET 2020 Admit Card is expected to release soon. UGC NET is conducted to determine candidates’ eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professorship. UGC NET 2020 Application Form has been released on March 16, 2020, at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The application fee is INR 1000 for General, INR 500 for OBC and EWS categories, and INR 250 for SC, ST, PWD, and Transgenders. The last date for form correction has been extended till July 20, 2020. As per UGC NET 2020 eligibility, candidates possessing a post-graduate degree with 55% marks are eligible to apply for UGC NET 2020. Candidates should not be more than 30 years in age for JRF but there is no age restriction to apply for the post of Assistant Professor. Check UGC NET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to score 40% marks (35% for reserved candidates) together in Paper 1 and Paper 2 to qualify the exam. A total of 10,34,872 candidates had registered in UGC NET December 2019 session, out of which 7,93,813 appeared and 60,147 exam takers qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor only whereas 5,092 qualified for both JRF & eligible for Assistant Professor.
