SSC CGL 2021: Exam Date (Released), Answer Key (Out), Application Form, Eligibility, Pattern & Result

The SSC CGL 2021 exam is regulated by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to complete the recruitment process for Group B and Group C for different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations. The SSC CGL Tier I exam will be held from 29 May to 7 June 2021. On 29 December 2020, the SSC CGL 2021 notification was released. Total number of vacancies are 6506 for 2020-21. The SSC CGL examination is conducted in four stages, whereas the first two stages (that is tiers) are commenced in online mode. The last two tiers will be held in offline mode. All the aspirants should get the SSC CGL cut-off score to qualify each tier and for moving forward to the next level.

SSC CGL Eligibility 2021

To be eligible for the SSC CGL, candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the authorities. Below given are the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria.

Educational Qualification Requirement: Candidates should have a graduate degree on or before January 1, 2021. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply for SSC CGL with their provisional degrees.

Age Limit: SSC CGL 2021 Age Limit varies from 18 – 32 years for various posts as of January 1, 2021.

Nationality: The aspirants should be Indian, or should be subject to Nepal/ Bhutan or Tibetan Refugee. Read detailed SSC CGL Reservation policies.

CGL Applications

How to fill SSC CGL Application Form 2021?

SSC CGL Application Form 2021 was released on the official website of SSC- ssc.nic.in. The aspirants were able to fill the SSC CGL application form till 2 February 2021. In the case of online fee payment process, the last date was 2 February 2021, whereas the aspirants could pay the offline application fees till 6 February 2021. On 29 December 2021, the SSC CGL notification was released by the Staff Selection Commission.

CGL Admit Card

SSC CGL Admit Card 2021

SSC will release SSC CGL Admit Card separately for different levels of examination, i.e. Admit Card for Tier-I will be released first followed by Admit Cards for Tier-II and so on. Admit Card for Tier-II and Tier-III will be issued to candidates who have qualified Tier-I Exam. Similarly, an Admit Card for Tier-IV will be issued to candidates who have cleared the Tier-II and III Exam.

It is to be noted that the admit card will not be sent by post, a candidate is required to log in using their RegistrationNumber/Roll Number and the Password/D.O.B to the official website of SSC to download the Admit Card.

  • The SSC CGL 2021 will be conducted in 120 cities across India.
  • All the SSC CGL 2021 Exam Centres are segregated into 9 main regions of the country.
  • The applicants have to fill 3 centers of their choices in the Application Form for SSC CGL 2021.
  • The Commission reserves the right to make a decision regarding the final allotment of the SSC CGL Exam Centre.
  • Any changes regarding the SSC CGL exam centres 2021 will be notified on the regional official websites of SSC and leading newspapers of the regions.

CGL Exam Pattern

SSC CGL Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2021

Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting the SSC CGL Exam 2021 in four stages: Tier-I, Tier-II, Tier-III & Tier-IV exam. Go through the following table to get detailed knowledge about the SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2021.

Tier I and Tier II are online examinations consisting of different subjects, Tier III is a descriptive paper that can be answered in Hindi and English language. The major sections of Tier I are General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.

A fair knowledge of SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier-I, Tier-II & III Exam is necessary to prepare effectively for this exam.The candidate should follow proper Proper Preparation strategy and relevant subject wise books for SSC CGL Exam.

SSC CGL Answer key

The SSC CGL answer key will be published by the Staff Selection Commission on the official website. For SSC CGL 2019, the tier II answer key was released on 28 February and it was available on the official website till 20 March 2021 (4 PM). Once the result is out, the aspirants can download their answer keys. If the candidates will find any discrepancy, then the aspirants can report to the competent authority within the mentioned time period through the proper channel.

SSC CGL 2021: Salary Scale

There are two categories of posts, these are Group B and Group C for the qualified SSC CGL 2021 aspirants. As per their Job Profile, their salary scale varies:

CGL Selection Process

SSC CGL Selection Process 2021

SSC CGL is divided into 4 stages i.e. Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and finally Tier IV.

  • Candidates who qualify in Tier I, will be eligible to appear in Tier II and Tier III.
  • Candidates who qualify in Tier I, II, and III, will be eligible to appear in Tier IV, if applicable.
  • Final Merit list of SSC CGL will be based on cumulative marks of Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III.
  • Tier IV is of qualifying nature and mandatory for CSS / MEA / Tax Assistant Posts.

SSC CGL Previous Year Paper Analysis

To get a good score in the SSC CGL exam 2021, the aspirants can go through the previous years’ section-wise paper analysis. Hence, the candidates can get an idea about the question pattern and the level of difficulty of the previous years’ questions. SSC CGL Tier I 2019-20 question paper was easy to moderately difficult. Though the Quantitative Aptitude section was comparatively hard than the other sections, while the students found the General Awareness and Reasoning section was easier to solve. To solve the General Awareness section, the candidates needed to have a good grip on the current affairs section and most of them found this section moderately difficult. Nonetheless, the aspirants have identified that the English section was too easy to get a good score.
