Is there any scope for an SSC CGL aspirant to get the job if his tier 1 rank is 25000?

If a general category student gets 500 marks in the SSC CGL, then what jobs will he get?
J
jaya garg

Hi Bhavya. In case a general category student obtain 500 marks in the SSC CGL, then his/her name will come in the final list. But this does not assures that he/she gets a job. There are not much vacancies for the students 500 marks as in 2019, minimum cut-off for post for UR was 515.25. Since the number of vacancies are limited, so getting 500 marks does not guarantee a job.

Hi Bhavya.

In case you want to get more than 180 marks in English Section, then you need to make the right strategy.

First of all, know the latest exam pattern and syllabus for English Section.

After that divide your tie focusing on three parts including Vocabulary, Grammar & Reading Ability

Keep separate time for all subjects.

Focus on weaker topics and try to make notes of it.

You must try to speak in English and write new words in notepad as it helps improve your vocabulary.

Solve last year’s question papers and take more mock tests as it helps ace your preparations.

Try to write minimum 200-300 words daily on different topics so that your grammar can improve a lot.

I am a general category student. I am preparing for SSC-CGL exam. People say I should not waste my time preparing for SSC-CGL. Is it true that there is very low probability for general category in SSC-CGL?
J
jaya garg

Hi Suraj!! There is nothing like this. Even general category students can get a good score in SSC CGL exam. Even in terms of eligibility, candidates belonging to reserved categories, PwD candidates, SC/ST candidates will have the same eligibility criteria for educational qualifications as that for General category applicants.
So if you study harder, you can get good score. Try to get your name in top list of candidates rather than worrying about the category. SSC just allows gives upper age relaxation limit to the applicants belonging to various categories, rest mode of exam, eligibility criteria, etc. remains the same.
