Ministry of Shipping /State Maritime Board /State Government

  • In the case of major ports, the Ministry of Shipping may provide access to port or port-like facilities with sufficient infrastructural facilities.
  • In the case of minor ports, the State Government or State Maritime Board may provide access to port or port-like facilities with sufficient infrastructural facilities to enable heavy construction, fabrication, and O&M activities at seashore, from which it will be moved offshore to the wind farm site.

Central and State Transmission Utility

  • Onshore evacuation and grid connectivity will be handled by the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) and/or the State Transmission Utility (STU).

  • Concerned STUs/State Governments may be able to support the allocation of land on the beach near wind farm sites to allow for the construction of substations to evacuate electricity generated by offshore wind farms.
