The National Bio-Energy Mission was one of eight missions the Prime Minister launched as part of the National Climate Change Action Plan (NAPCC). This scheme was approved in the year 2017 by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. This national mission will work to build a bio-energy city project, enhance energy efficiency in conventional biomass-consuming sectors, and offer logistical support to biomass processing facilities.
