  • The subsidence dolines are classified into two types based on the nature of subsidence:

  • Caprock dolines are surface depressions in insoluble rocks caused by the collapse of the insoluble rock into a cavity in the underlying soluble rock.

  • A buried doline is one that is completely closed due to the filling of debris from the opening side, however, it is hollow inside.
