Ahmed Shah Al Wali Bahamani ruled the Bahmani Sultanate from 1422 to1435 AD. He was the son of Bahman Shah and took the throne from Firuz Shah in 1422. He attacked Vijaynagar, Warangal, Malwa, Gujrat and other kingdoms. During his reign, the capital of the Bahmani kingdom was shifted to Bidar. He also constructed a Tomb in the name of Gesu Daraz. Earlier the Deccan region was a part of the provincial administration of the Delhi Sultanate but Alauddin Hassan Gangu Bahaman Shah founded the Bahamani sultanate in the year 1347 AD.
