UGC NET 2023 selection process included two papers: Paper 1 (General Aptitude) with 50 questions for 100 marks, and Paper 2 (Subject-specific) with 100 questions for 200 marks. Candidates needed to secure the minimum qualifying marks in both papers to be eligible for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions. The final selection was based on the combined performance in both papers, with separate criteria for JRF and Assistant Professor eligibility.
