Parishishtaparvana which is one of the important textual sources of the Mauryan history was written by _____
Hemachandra
Hemachandra option is correct.
The Parishishtaparvan (also called Sthaviravalicharita) is an appendix to the Trishashtishalakapurushacharita, the great Jain hagiographical epic of the twelfth-century Kalachuri—Chaulukya polymath Acharya Hemachandra of Gujarat. Its eighth book is a Jain account of the political history of Magadha from the last Nandas through Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara and the early years of Ashoka, and preserves the tradition of Chandragupta’s association with the Jain teacher Bhadrabahu and his emigration to Shravanabelagola.
Vishakhadatta wrote the Sanskrit play Mudrarakshasa on Chanakya and Chandragupta but was a dramatist, not the author of this text. Jinasena (author of the Adipurana) and Gunabhadra (Uttarapurana) are Digambara Jain authors of the ninth century whose works are Puranic in scope, not focussed on Mauryan history.
