  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Special Education
  • Graduation (BA/B.Sc) with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree from a recognised university.

Paper 2 (Classes 6-8)

Candidates must have any of the following qualifications:

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 2-year D.Ed (completed or in final year)
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree (completed or in final year)
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed (completed or in final year)
  • B.A. (Education), B.Sc. (Education), or B.Ed (Special Education) with at least 50% marks.

JTET Age Limit 2026

JTET Age Limit does not prescribe any upper age limit for the candidates. Candidates of any age who fulfil the criteria of educational qualification and nationality can apply for JTET 2026.
