Let G represent a girl and B represent a boy.The possible combinations of three children are: GGG, GGB, GBG, GBB, BGG, BGB, BBG, BBB Given that the other two children are girls, the possible combinations are GGG, GGB, GBG, BGG. Out of these, only one combination has all three children as girls (GGG). Therefore, the probability that the third child is a girl given that the other two are also girls is 1/4.
