SSC CPO Exam 2020 for Paper-I is scheduled to be held from September 29 to October 05, 2020. However, the exam dates are postponed due to COVID-19 and have been rescheduled from November 23, 2020, to November 26, 2020. The candidates who will qualify in Paper-I shall be called for SSC CPO Paper-II which is re-scheduled to be held on 12 July 2021 tentatively.

Only those candidates who could file the application within 15days due to the lockdown will be able to do so now. SSC CPO 2020: Eligibility Criteria

There are 3 conditions that a candidate needs to fulfil in order to be eligible for the SSC CPO 2020 Exam. Check SSC CPO 2020 Eligibility Criteria in details

SSC CPO 2020: Nationality

Other than Indian citizens, the following candidates can apply:

  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan ( having a certificate in favour of their category issued by the Indian Government
  • A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India

SSC CPO 2020: Educational Qualification

  • There are no special eligibility criteria to be eligible for the SSC CPO recruitment exam. However, candidates need Graduation degree in any discipline from an authorized University or any equivalent degree recognized as such by the Central Government on or before 01-Jan-2021.
  • For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (only) – Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

SSC CPO exam pattern is such that it consists of Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper 2 and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All these stages of the examination are mandatory. The details of the exam pattern are as follows:

SSC CPO consists of 5 stages:

SSC CPO Selection Process 2020: Paper-I

  • The paper-I is the first stage of the selection process.
  • This exam will be conducted from September 29 to October 05, 2020.
  • This paper consists of 200 multiple choice questions which must be answered within 2 hours.
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.

SSC CPO Selection Process 2020: Physical Exam

The second stage is the physical examination. This stage consists of 2 stages - Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test(PET). It is mandatory to clear all the criteria of these two tests to qualify for the next level of the exam:

  • PST is common for both genders.

Physical Endurance Test(PET)

The PET of SSC CPO contains such tasks that candidates should accomplish to qualify for the next stage. Here are the details of PET:

For Male candidates

  • 100 meters race to complete in 16 seconds.
  • 1.6 km race to complete in 6.5 minutes.
  • Long Jump - 3.65 meters in 3 chances.
  • High Jump - 1.2 meters in 3 chances
  • Shot put ( 16 Lbs) : 4.5 meters in 3 chances.

For Female Candidates

  • 100 meters race to complete in 18 seconds.
  • 800 meters race to complete in 4 minutes.
  • Long Jump - 2.7 meters in 3 chances.
  • High Jump: 0.9 meters in 3 chances.

SSC CPO Selection Process 2020: Paper-II

  • The third stage is the Paper-II exam which is expected to be conducted on March 01, 2020.
  • The total marks for the exam are 200 and the duration is 2 hours.
  • This exam is the type of qualify in nature
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

SSC CPO Selection Process 2020: Medical Exam

The Medical Test is the final stage of the SSC CPO 2020 selection procedure. This test is based on factors such as Eyesight, Seven Obstacles & Tattoo Policies. On the basis of their performance in Paper-I and Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination. Candidates, who are successful in Medical Examination, will be called for detailed Document Verification.

SSC CPO Selection Process 2020: Document Verification

All shortlisted candidates are supposed to verify their Documents for Final Selection. Candidates are required to submit all documents in original for verification at the time of Document Verification.

SSC CPO Selection Process 2020: Final Selection

  • Final selection will be made based on aggregate marks scored by candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II. Allocation of candidates to various User Departments/ Forces will be made based on their merit position and the preference of posts exercised by them at the time of Document Verification.
  • Candidates, who are appointed based on this examination, shall be on probation for two years and during the period of probation, the candidates would be required to undergo such training or pass such examinations as prescribed by the Controlling Authority.
  • On successful completion of the period of probation, the candidates shall, if considered fit for permanent appointment, be confirmed to their post by the Controlling Authority.
  • The final merit list will be tabulated based on a candidate’s performance in all the three phases of SSC CPO Exam.

SSC CPO cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. Hi Puja. There are a few medical standards that needs to be met while applying for the SSC CPO post. After qualifying the Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Paper 2, the candidates will be called for Medical Examination.
