AFCAT Memory Based Question Paper provides valuable insights into the types of questions asked, section wise weightage, and the overall standard of the examination. Candidates can use the paper to familiarise themselves with the exam pattern, refine their time management skills, and develop an effective strategy for future AFCAT attempts. Pairing these papers with a full length AFCAT mock test sharpens that strategy further, since a timed mock recreates the live two hour pressure and shows whether your section order and pacing actually hold up on exam day.

AFCAT 2022 Question Paper FAQs

Ques: Why did Verbal Ability in English carry more questions in AFCAT 2022 than in other years?

Ans: IAF revised the section split for the 2022 cycle, raising English from 25 to 30 questions and Numerical Ability from 18 to 20, while trimming Reasoning and Military Aptitude from 32 to 25. The total stayed at 100 questions and 300 marks.

Ques: Did the AFCAT 2022 EKT paper follow the same question count as the main AFCAT paper?

Ans: No. EKT is a separate 50 question, 45 minute paper for Ground Duty Technical candidates only, held right after the main AFCAT paper in the second shift of each exam day.

Ques: Are the AFCAT 2022 papers on this page the exact papers released by IAF?

Ans: No. IAF does not release the original paper publicly. These are memory based papers rebuilt from candidate recall for each shift, arranged in the same date order the exam was actually held.

Ques: Does the AFCAT 2022 negative marking rule match the current AFCAT exam?

Ans: Yes. AFCAT 2022 used +3 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong answer, the same scheme used today, so scoring an old 2022 paper this way still gives an accurate practice result.

Ques: How is the AFCAT 2022 section split different from AFCAT 2021 and AFCAT 2023?

Ans: AFCAT 2021 gave 32 questions to Reasoning and only 18 to Numerical Ability. AFCAT 2022 shifted that balance toward English at 30 questions. AFCAT 2023 later moved to an equal 25 question split across all four sections.
