AFCAT I 2020 Result has been released on March 17, 2020, for the written and EKT exam which was conducted on February 22 and 23, 2020. Candidates can check their result at the official website –  by logging in with their email ID and password. AFSB interviews were scheduled from March 23, 2020, but have been postponed due to nationwide lockdown amid COVID-19 crisis. Fresh dates for AFSB interview will be announced in due course and candidates will be intimated through registered e-mail.

  • AFCAT Result for 2020 exam has been released. Check details here
  • AFCAT Cutoff and Scorecard have been released on the official site.
  • There are four AFSB testing centres – Dehradun (1 AFSB), Mysuru (2 AFSB), Gandhinagar (3 AFSB) and Varanasi (4 AFSB).
  • Candidates opting for flying branch have to attend the test at Dehradun centre only. Check AFCAT Selection Process
  • Candidates qualifying the AFSB Interview and medical test will be recruited at Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC)/Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.
 AFCAT I 2020 AFSB Interviews that were scheduled from March 23, 2020 onwards have been postponed due to COVID – 19 Outbreak. The board will inform the selected candidates about the new schedule over E-Mail soon. Candidates can contact their respective AFSB centres in case of queries arising in their minds. How to Check AFCAT 2020 Result?

AFCAT 2020 Result will be published on the official website in March 2020. The result will not be sent via post. A list of qualified candidates has been published with their respective roll numbers. The qualified candidates will then have to register for AFSB testing.

Applicants can view AFCAT 2020 Result by following the mentioned steps:

  1. Visit the official website of AFCAT i.e.
  2. Click on “AFCAT 2020 Result” on the notification bar.
  3. The page will navigate and open into a new tab in pdf format.
  4. Save the pdf file or click Ctrl+F and type your roll number and hit enter.
  5. If the entered roll number is qualified, it will match the enter case and will be highlighted.
  6. Applicants should look for further notification regarding the testing process in the notification bar.
  7. Qualified Candidates will need to register to proceed with testing as per IAF guidelines.

Candidates qualified in AFCAT writtern test will have to register on the official website to carry out the further process.

How to Register for AFSB Interview?

  1. Visit the homepage
  2. Check for “Notification for AFCAT 2020 Qualified Candidates”
  3. Read the Information brochure and follow the steps
  4. Login into the website with your login id and password.
  5. Register for Testing and select the Air Force Selection Board close to you and date.
  6. Fill in all the details such as:
    • Name of the Candidate
    • Roll Number of AFCAT 2020
    • Registration Number
    • Passport sized photo and Signature
  7. Click enter to Submit the form.
  8. Applicants can select the centers from AFSB Centers listed below:
    • AFSB Dehradun
    • AFSB Mysore
    • AFSB Varanasi
    • AFSB Gandhinagar
  9. Candidates will have to download call letter from the official website by clicking the link.
  10. The letter will include details such as Test Center and Documents required.
  11. The Call Letter and the associated forms should be printed and duly filled.
  12. Candidates should carry the printouts, AFCAT 2020 Admit card and the required documents when reporting at the venue.

  • It is expected that the cut off marks for AFCAT 2020 will be ranging between 160-165.

AFSB Rounds in Detail

AFSB Selection and Testing Rounds will be conducted in two stages:

  1. Intelligence Test
  2. Psychological Test, Group Test and Personal Interview.
  • Stage I of AFSB will require the candidates to undergo an Intelligence Test. The result will be declared on the spot and to proceed, Candidates will have to get their documents verified.
  • The Stage I eligible candidates will have to undergo Stage II round.
  • Candidates who do not qualify the Stage I will have to leave the venue.
  • Stage II will be carried out in Five days with Psychological Test, Group Test and Personal Interview.
  • Candidates should perform well to be selected for IAF recruitment.
  • Stage II is crucial for the final selection of the candidates.
  • Candidates who have applied for Flying Branch will have to qualify Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT)

What's the time taken to declare the AFCAT results after the exam?

Hi Nafisa. The AFCAT result for the written exam is declared within 30-60 days and when the result gets declared, shortlisted candidate are asked to select their SSC date and selection center.

How can I apply for the AFCAT exam if I just got my results having backlogs in 8th sem of degree? Should I apply for the exam considering 7th sem as my result or I should clear out my backlogs and then I will be eligible for AFCAT?

Hi Ammar. As per the recent notification made the AFCAT exam authorities, candidates must nit have any present backlog and must have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together up to the last semester / year. So  make sure that your backlogs are clear while giving the exam.

In the AFCAT application form, I entered my aggregate as 64 percent instead of 63 percent because the last semester exam results were not announced at the time of issue of the application, is it okay or will they disqualify me?

Hi Karan. In case your score is 60 percent aggregate in your engineering, then you are eligible for the AFCAT entrance exams. In your case, you meet the minimum eligibility criteria, you will not be disqualified from the exam.

My 6th semester result not declared till AFCAT exam then, am I eligible for the exam?
