SSC MTS Selection Process comprises 2 stages – Paper 1 and Paper 2. The selection procedure will take place after the declaration of SSC MTS Result, which is expected to be declared within two months after the papers are conducted. Also, Check the upcoming SSC Exam Dates 2021, read the news here

  • Candidates will have to secure the minimum SSC MTS Cut off fixed by the commission to be shortlisted for final posting.
  • Cut off in Paper 1 and qualifying marks in Paper 2 may be different for vacancies in each State/UT which will be fixed at the discretion of the commission.
  • Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper 1, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper 2.

Tentative vacancies for the post of Multi-tasking staff 2021 is 10,000 including all reserved category seats.

SSC MTS 2021 Selection Process

There are 2 stages involved in the SSC MTS selection process i.e. clearing– Paper 1 and Paper 2. The final mode of selection of candidates for the post of Multi Tasking Staff is based on their performance in SSC MTS Paper 1. SSC MTS Paper 1 is of objective type and acts as a preliminary test. Those who are able to attain the cut off for Paper 1 will be shortlisted for Paper 2.

SSC MTS cut-offs for Paper 1 and qualifying marks in Paper 2 will vary for different States/UTs. Only the marks of Paper 1 will be considered while selecting the candidates provided they qualify Paper 2 as well. 

The brief breakdown of the two-stage selection process is provided below:

SSC MTS Selection Process for Reserved Category Candidates

  • Reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PH) candidates who are shortlisted on their own merit with relaxed standards, will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies in SSC MTS.
  • They will be accommodated against unreserved vacancies as per the merit list. 
  • PH category candidate who qualifies SSC MTS on the basis of relaxed standards such as age limit, qualification, experience, cut off, will be counted against reserved vacancies. 

Documents Required for Verification

Verification of documents is the part of SSC MTS Selection Process. Candidates found faulty while presenting the required set of documents will be debarred from SSC MTS selection process. 

  • Certified true copies or Photostat copies of the certificates will not be accepted in any case. 
  • Original certificates will be returned after the verification.

Given below is the list of documents that are to be carried at the time of document verification for SSC MTS Selection Process.

  • Qualification Certificates
  • Proof of Identity (Pan Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID etc.)
  • Date of Birth Certificate
  • Passport Size Photographs
  • Category Certificate for the Reserved Category Candidates
  • Proof of Residence

SSC MTS Selection Process – Resolution of Tie Cases 

There may be a case where two or more candidates obtain equal marks, termed as a tie. The tie-breaking parameters in the order of preference for SSC MTS Selection Process are mentioned below:

  • Higher score in Paper 2. 
  • Date of Birth- candidate older in age gets preference.
  • By referring to the alphabetical order of the names taking the first name into consideration.

SSC MTS Result 2021

SSC MTS Result is anticipated to be declared within two months from the day Paper 1 and Paper 2 are conducted respectively.

Highlights of SSC MTS Results are enlisted below:

  • SSC MTS Answer Keys for both papers would be released before the declaration of results.
  • The results will be published on the official website of the SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in.
  • The results will be available in pdf format with Roll Number, Name, Category and Ranks. 
  • To be on the shortlist for the recruitment, a candidate is required to meet the cutoff.

SSC MTS Reservation Criteria

For the First time, reservation to EWS category is also provided. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/ExS categories in SSC MTS Recruitment is available as per the standing Government Orders. The Commission reserves the right to fill up analogous posts in other Ministries/Organizations under the Government from this recruitment. 

  • For availing SSC MTS reservation benefits, candidates are required to submit necessary EWS/SC/ST/OBC/disability certificate, issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format, before the specified date.
  • Failure to provide such documents will ensure that the claim of the candidate is not considered. They will be counted in unreserved category.
  • The format of such certificates can be found in SSC MTS Brochure.
  • Certificates submitted in any other format will not be entertained.
  • Candidates must not attempt to provide fake or forged category certificates, as part of their applications, to obtain the benefits of SSC MTS Reservation scheme else his candidature shall be cancelled.

The mode of SSC MTS is, PAPER 1: Online and PAPER 2: Offline. PAPER 1 is objective type paper and PAPER 2 is descriptive type paper. Short Essay has to be written in English or any other language. Elementary Language skills required.

Is resident certificate necessary?

As per the eligibility criteria, a candidate must be either of the following:

  • citizen of India
  • subject of Nepal
  • subject of Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who came to India with the intention of settling in India before January 1, 1962
  • Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

In case where candidate is not a citizen of India, he/she needs to provide an eligibility certificate issued by Govt. of India to appear for the exam. Find more details at SSC MTS Eligibility 2021.

Hi Mizna. SSC MTS cut-offs for Paper 1 and qualifying marks in Paper 2 will be differ for different States/UTs. Only the marks of Paper 1 will be considered at the time of shortlisting candidates provided they qualify Paper 2 as well.

how to calculate ssc mts marks?
