SSC MTS Salary Structure and Pay Scale

The salary pay scale for the SSC MTS has been revised under the 7th Pay Commission which varies with the Grade you have been selected for. The basic salary pay which is offered in-hand is varied from INR 18,000 to INR 22,000.

The salary slabs have been divided depending upon the Grade in which you have been selected and the allowances also vary with the same.

The eligible candidates who have cleared the SSC MTS examination enjoy several benefits which are apart from the in-hand salary under various schemes. Some of them are explained as under:

  • Post – Retirement benefits: Under the government organization, one beautiful benefit that the candidates enjoy is the Post-retirement benefits. The candidates after they retire, enjoy various pensions which they can enjoy along with other benefits in travel allowances. They are also provided with a decent sum of Provident fund (PF), and Gratuity.
  • Medical benefits: The candidates who are selected after their probation period as a permanent candidate are assured a sum of Medical coverage under the central government scheme not only for themselves but for their entire family.

NOTE:

  • The benefits mentioned above are not especially mentioned for the SSC MTS candidates but also are common for all the government jobs.

  • Nominally, the probation period for the SSC MTS candidates is of approximately 2 years, which is mandatory for all the candidates to undergo as they are provided a full proof training under this period.

  • Candidates receive their first promotion of INR 1900 /- after a service for 3 years.
  • The second promotion is offered of INR 2000 /- again after a service of 3 years.
  • The candidates are offered their third promotion of INR 2400 /- after a service of 5 years.
  • The final promotion is offered for INR 2400 /- to INR 5400 /- after a set interval of service and the quality of service.
  • Candidates are promoted in the mode of position after in the above specified manner, but the increment in the salary pay is based on the default set annual increment by the authorities.

NOTE: Candidates can also be posted for the role of LDC after appearing and clearing the examination, if the candidate does not want to appear for the examination, he / she will be promoted to the LDC role after the set default years of service as SSC MTS employee.
