The degree of super-leverage would be calculated by :
Multiplying DOL and DFL
Operating leverage measures the effect of a change in sales on EBIT: \( DOL = \dfrac{\%\Delta EBIT}{\%\Delta Sales} = \dfrac{Contribution}{EBIT} \).
Financial leverage measures the effect of a change in EBIT on EPS: \( DFL = \dfrac{\%\Delta EPS}{\%\Delta EBIT} = \dfrac{EBIT}{EBT} \).
Super leverage, also called combined or total leverage, links sales directly to EPS. Because the two ratios chain together, \( DCL = DOL \times DFL = \dfrac{\%\Delta EPS}{\%\Delta Sales} = \dfrac{Contribution}{EBT} \).
Adding, dividing or subtracting the two degrees has no economic meaning, since each is a ratio of percentage changes and only their product cancels the common EBIT term.
Hence, Multiplying DOL and DFL.
Match the items of List - I with the items of List - II and find out the correct matching.

The term ‘capital structure’ implies :
The benefits of debt financing over equity financing are likely to be highest in which of the following situations ?
Assertion (A) : Arbitrage keeps the cost of capital constant despite change in the capital structure.
Reason (R) : It ensures compensating inverse change in cost of equity capital with a change in the cost of debt capital.
