The requirement is to make slides advance on their own, in step with narration and animations, without the presenter clicking through them. The PowerPoint feature designed for this is Rehearse Timings, found on the Slide Show tab.

How Rehearse Timings achieves automatic advancing:

1. It launches the slide show in a special practice mode with a small recording toolbar and timer on screen.
2. As you rehearse, PowerPoint records exactly how long you dwell on each slide and each animation step.
3. When you finish, it offers to save these timings. During the real presentation, PowerPoint then advances each slide automatically after its recorded interval — so the visuals stay synchronised with your spoken narration and the animation sequence, hands-free.

This is often combined with the "Record Slide Show" feature so that recorded audio narration and the saved timings play back together as a self-running presentation.

Why the other features do not fit: Slide Sorter is only a thumbnail view for reordering, hiding or organising slides — it does not control timing. Action Buttons are clickable on-slide controls (next, previous, home, hyperlink) used for manual, interactive navigation, which is the opposite of automatic advancing. Presenter View is a dual-screen aid that shows the speaker their notes, a timer and the next slide, but it still relies on the presenter to move forward. Only Rehearse Timings records and applies the automatic slide intervals the question needs.
