Question

If \(25\%\) of A \(= 20\%\) of B \(= 10\%\) of C, find \(A : B : C\).

This question was previously asked in
SSC CGL 2025 Tier 2 Paper 1 Question Paper (19-Jan-2026)
The correct answer is

4 : 5 : 10

Step 1 – set the common value:

Let \(0.25 A = 0.20 B = 0.10 C = k\).

Step 2 – express A, B, C in terms of k:

\(A = \dfrac{k}{0.25} = 4k\)
\(B = \dfrac{k}{0.20} = 5k\)
\(C = \dfrac{k}{0.10} = 10k\)

Step 3 – form the ratio:

\(A : B : C = 4k : 5k : 10k = 4 : 5 : 10\).

Hence the answer is 4 : 5 : 10.
