Question

How can one feels or know about love according to Valluvar?

The correct answer is

Tears

In the chapter Anbudaimai (Possession of Love) of the Thirukkural, Kural 71 reads: Anbirkum undo adaikkunthaazh aarvalar punkaneer poosal tharum.

Its meaning: there is no bolt that can lock love in; the trickling tears of those who love will reveal it to all. Love cannot be hidden, because tears shed at the suffering of a loved one make it known.

Valluvar does not measure love by money, costly gifts or food; according to him the outward sign through which love is felt and known is tears.

Hence, Tears.
