Horizontal reservation: Uttarakhand women hold 3 posts in Deputy Collector, 4 in Police Deputy Superintendent, 2 in Assistant Director/Audit Officer and one each in Finance/Treasury Officer, BDO, Assistant Director (Sanskrit), ARTO, State Tax Officer and Case Worker, and one State Andolankari post each is reserved in Deputy Collector and Police Deputy Superintendent. UKPSC Upper PCS 2026 Prelims will be held in 24 cities of Uttarakhand, and candidates can choose a preferred city in the form.
The Commission may allot another city in unavoidable circumstances, and no centre-change request is entertained thereafter. The Mains will be held only at centres in Haldwani and Haridwar.

Candidates successful in the Mains must fill an online post preference form before the interview, and no change is allowed later. Once selected against one post, a candidate is not considered for the rest. Being a combined exam, no 25 per cent extra reserve list will be prepared.
UKPSC Upper PCS 2026 admit cards are not sent by post. Candidates download the e-admit card from psc.uk.gov.in using the registration number and date of birth. It carries the roll number, exam date, reporting time and allotted centre, and separate admit cards are issued for the Prelims and the Mains.
UKPSC releases the answer key in two stages through the Online Question Paper Objection Module. The ‘A’ series question paper is published after the exam, with seven days for free objections on the structure of questions and options. The provisional key follows, with seven days to object against a non-refundable fee of ₹50 per question. Objections are online only, and the final key comes with the result.
UKPSC declares the result separately for each stage on psc.uk.gov.in, with information also published in newspapers. Candidates clearing the Prelims appear in the Mains, and those provisionally successful are called for document verification and the interview.
