UKPSC (Uttarakhand Public Service Commission) Application and Registration 2021

Uttarakhand Public Service Commission [UKPSC] was constituted by the Governor of Uttarakhand under Article 315 dated 14th March 2001. It was on 15th May 2001, when UPKSC fully came into existence. Currently, UKPSC constitutes the chairman and six members. One of the primary roles of UKPSC is conducting examinations to appoint members to the services of the Union and the State. Since the induction of commission, various qualified candidates have been taken in.

Until February 2020, a total of 24447 candidates have been recommended for appointment. They include the posts as given below-

Prepp Test Series

UKPSC also has its Examination building accommodating 1620 students for one round of examination. Here various written tests and screening rounds are conducted regularly. To be on par with advancing technology and online-mode examinations, a computer lab 'GYANODAYA' was established recently. It is equipped with a server room housing two servers, three printing desks, and 62 rooms for candidates. UKPSC has successfully conducted two rounds of exams with a total of 600 candidates attempting the exams.

It's a dream for people to score a job in civil services makes their career in a government department. It is easier said than done. For the limited posts available, there are plenty o contenders and to narrow down the worthy candidates, written exams and interviews are conducted.

UKPSC is authorized to conduct examinations for entry-level vacancies in various departments of the State. With the update in technology, applications are submitted online. At first, the candidates have to complete the registration process. The main exam conducted by UKPSC is the UK PCS exam which is a state-level equivalent exam to UPSC.

Before applying for the exam, you need to ensure that you are eligible for the exam. Eligibility criteria for the exam include-

  • Graduate from a recognized University in India, holding a bachelor's degree of three years duration.
  • Any qualification that is equivalent to bachelor’s from a UGC recognized or affiliated to Government institute is also considered valid for applying for the exam.
  • Should be of age 21 while submitting your application for the exam.
  • The upper age limit is 42 as of 1st July.
  • This upper age limit is relaxed for the candidates of
  • SC/ST category- 5 years of relaxation
  • OBC category-3 years relaxation

Registration Process

To submit your application, you need to set up an account, and this is achieved by registration. To register-

  • Firstly, visit the homepage of the official website.
  • Once you have entered the website page, you will have the register option for first-time visitors.
  • Provide the relevant information and click submit.
  • After registration, you need to log in again by submitting the details asked like your ID and password. Then click login.
  • Now you can enter the application portal and continue the application process.
  • Things to be conscious of while registration is to have an E-mail ID and a valid mobile number. Choose a password that is convenient for you to remember every time you login to the portal.

Guideline to submit your application

After you have successfully registered on the official website, your next step is to offer the application online. To apply to follow the given below steps-

  • Enter the official website.
  • Enter your credentials for login.
  • After logging in, click on the application portal link.
  • In the application form, various details are asked about you from personal to educational information.
  • Personal information like name, address, your father's and mother's name, date of birth, gender, age telephone, and contact details are asked. Fill in these details aptly without any errors.
  • Educational details like the degree you have obtained, pass percentage, the University from which you received your degree, subjects selected have to be filled in the given slots.
  • After typing in the relevant details, you have to upload the scanned photocopy of you and the signature. Instructions will be given regarding the dimensions, and within what range of Kb, the photo and signature are to be uploaded.
  • Supporting documents for your educational qualification also need to be uploaded. Ensure that the scanned copy is clear and visible on the screen.
  • After all the necessary documents have been uploaded, cross-check on all the details you have entered. See to it that you have filled all the details asked and uploaded all the relevant copies.
  • Now that you are sure you have filled the application right click on the submit button.
  • For the application process to complete, you need to pay the due application fees.

Application Fees

The application fee varies across various categories. Check

which category you fall into and pay the respective fees. Application fees for

different categories are as follows-

  • For SC/ST aspirants belonging to the State of Uttarakhand: INR 60
  • For General Merit/ OBC candidates of State of Uttarakhand: INR 150.
  • For other state candidates: INR 150.

Fees can be paid online or offline depending on your convenience-

  • ONLINE mode: Candidates can make the payment online by internet banking facility or by using their credit/debit card if they have any.
  • OFFLINE Mode: Candidates have to make the payment in any SBI branch and the challan no.through which you made the payment should be entered in your application before

submitting it.
