Maternal Complications: Cerebral hemorrhage, ischemic stroke, cerebral edema, cortical blindness, acute kidney injury, HELLP syndrome, subcapsular liver hematoma, pulmonary edema, heart failure, DIC, ARDS, placental abruption, severe infection, permanent hypertension.
Fetal/Neonatal Complications: Fetal distress, hypoxia, preterm birth, intrauterine growth restriction, perinatal asphyxia, neonatal encephalopathy, stillbirth.
Eclampsia is a severe, life-threatening obstetric emergency requiring prompt recognition, stabilization, seizure control, and delivery planning to reduce maternal and fetal mortality.
