The correct answer is

(b), (c) and (d)

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation is a school-based system of assessment in which the two words in its name carry the whole idea. Continuous means assessment spread across the year rather than concentrated in one final examination; comprehensive means covering the whole learner rather than academic performance alone.

Statement (b) is correct. CCE replaces numerical marks with grades, so that learners are placed in broad bands rather than separated by a single mark, which reduces unhealthy comparison and the pressure of narrow ranking.

Statement (c) is correct and expresses the comprehensive half of the scheme. It assesses scholastic areas along with co-scholastic ones - attitudes, values, participation, health, and activities in sports and the arts - so that every aspect of the student is evaluated.

Statement (d) is correct. Because assessment is spread over the year in small, low-stakes steps rather than resting on one decisive examination, the fear associated with a single make-or-break test is reduced.

Statement (a) is incorrect, and it is the statement that decides the question. CCE is not intended to burden students with repeated formal tests. Continuous assessment relies substantially on observation, assignments, projects and classroom work, and the aim is to reduce examination pressure rather than multiply it.

Hence the characteristics are (b), (c) and (d).
