The correct answer is

Bihar

The question refers to the aftermath of the Indigo Revolt (Nil Vidroha) of 1859-60 in Bengal.

The indigo peasants (ryots) of Bengal rose in a powerful revolt against the oppressive European indigo planters who forced them to grow indigo on unfair terms.

The revolt, along with the report of the Indigo Commission of 1860, made indigo cultivation increasingly unviable in Bengal.

As a result, the planters shifted their operations to Bihar, where indigo plantations continued into the later part of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

It was in Bihar's Champaran district that Mahatma Gandhi later launched the Champaran Satyagraha of 1917 against indigo planters.

Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh were not the centres to which the Bengal indigo planters relocated, so those options are incorrect.

Hence, after the indigo revolution in Bengal the planters shifted their operations to Bihar.
