CDS 2 2025 Maths Question Paper (14-Sep-2025)
The correct answer is

2.5 N

Using the formula for buoyant force: F_b = ρgV

ρ (density of water) = 1000 kg/m³, g = 10 m/s², V = 2 × 10-4

F_b = 1000 × 10 × 2 × 10^-4 = 2 N

The buoyant force exerted on the sphere is 2 N. Therefore, the correct answer is (c) 2 N.
