Bowel loops herniation

Following blunt trauma (RTA) with left-sided absent breath sounds and a CT chest showing bowel loops within the thoracic cavity, the diagnosis is traumatic diaphragmatic rupture with herniation of abdominal bowel loops into the thorax, not a simple pneumothorax or effusion.
