The result of CDS 1 has been declared. Steps to check CDS Result are mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Examination’ tab and navigate to the ‘Active Examination’ Section.
Step 3: Go to Combined Defence Services Examination.
Step 4: You will find a PDF file for the written test result.
Step 5: Download it and locate your roll number with a keyboard shortcut- Ctrl + F.

Note: Chances are that candidates might face the issue of server down as there would be many applicants who would be checking their respective results at the same time. This will create a massive overload on their server. They can check their results at ease after some hours when the issue is completely resolved.

The selection of candidates is subject to various criteria. For selection to IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA, candidates must qualify the minimum cut off marks set by the governing body, i.e., UPSC. A minimum of 20% score in each section is the basic cut-off to qualify for CDS 2021 and an overall score in the written exam is around 110 marks. Those who fit into this range will be called for CDS SSB Interview.
IMA (Indian Military Academy) and INA (Indian Naval Academy) cutoffs are expected to remain around 110 while for AFA cutoff score may go up to 140 this year. Candidates who have scored qualifying marks in the written CDS exam will need to appear for SSB Tests/ Interview. The candidates are required to get the prescribed set of documents for the CDS interview conducted by the Service Selection Board. The final result is declared on the basis of the candidate's performance in the written exam and SSB Tests/ Interview. The SSB interview lasts for 5 days during which, a candidate undergoes various physical and psychological test which determines if a candidate is fit to be an officer.

The candidates who filled the application forms before the last notified date will be able to appear for the CDS written. CDS (I) written exam is an objective type paper held in pen and paper mode. The candidates who have qualified for the written examination will now appear for the Interview/ Intelligence Test/ Personality Test, the second stage of the CDS Selection Procedure.
The candidates who have qualified for the written examination will be interviewed by Service Selection Board based on their preferences of HQs. The candidates will have to undergo the five-day testing procedure at the respective SSB centers. The candidates who will be selected by the officials in the interview round shall further be called up for their document verification.
Documents of selected candidates like their mark sheets, graduation degree, age proof, and other certificates and requisite documents are verified by the officials. If the documents are not authentic or complete then such candidates can be disqualified by the officials. The final selection of candidates will be made if they are found to medically fit.
