CDS OTA Syllabus 2026 includes two topics for written exam- English and General Knowledge. The questions are asked from the Graduation level. CDS Exam Pattern consists of a total of 200 marks. The duration of each paper is 2 hours.
CDS OTA written exam is offline and the paper is based on the MCQ pattern where a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every incorrect answer is deducted. The aspirants who qualify for the CDS exam are called for the interview round. After qualifying for the written exam the aspirants are called for an SSB interview. SSB interview consists of two stages to pass in the selection process- Stage A, and Stage B. Here the detailed information about CDS SSB Interview:
Stage A: includes officer intelligence rating (OIR) tests Picture Perception & Description Test. The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in both tests.
Stage B: this includes interviews, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.
The personality of aspirants will be judged by three assessors- the Interview Officer, the Group testing officer, and the Psychologist.
There is no separate weightage for each test. The marks depend on the aspirant's performance in the above tests. In addition, marks for the conference are also allotted on the initial performance of the candidate in the three techniques and decisions of the board.
