SSC CGL 2018 selection process consisted of four stages. Tier 1 was an objective test covering General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English, with each section carrying 50 marks. Tier 2 assessed advanced knowledge in Quantitative Aptitude and English, with each paper carrying 200 marks. Tier 3 was a descriptive paper to assess writing skills, with a total of 100 marks. Tier 4 was a computer proficiency or skill test, with qualifying marks depending on the job role.
