The SBI PO 2020 Mains exam was conducted on January 29, 2021 after the notification was released in November, 2020. Even though the SBI PO 2020 Mains paper was not very difficult, it is one of the toughest of all the competitive and banking exams. It is very popular and most awaited by the students eager to join the banking sector as probationary officers.

  • The Mains paper consists of 250 marks in total.
  • It consists of two sections- Objective and Descriptive.
  • Objective section includes English Language, Reasoning Ability, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General and Banking Awareness.
  • The Descriptive section asks questions from English language.
  • The total duration of the paper is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

  • The SBI PO 2020 Mains paper had two divisions- Objective and Descriptive.
  • Objective section had 155 questions of 200 marks to be answered in 3 hours.
  • The Descriptive section has 2 questions of 50 marks to be answered in 3 minutes.

Objective Section

Though a bit lengthy in some portions, the difficulty level of the overall objective part of the SBI PO 2020 Mains paper was moderate to difficult.

  • The Students could answer 20 answers from this answer.

English Language (Descriptive)

  • This section consisted of two subject topics (in each shift of exam) for letter writing and two for essay writing.
  • The students had to write one from each in 150 words.
