The official date of SBI PO will be released by State Bank Of India on their official website: https://bank.sbi/careers. or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers. SBI PO 2020 Exams are Three stage : SBI PO Preliminary , SBI PO Main and SBI PO Interview. The prelims exam of SBI PO 2020 is scheduled from June 8 – 16, 2020. SBI PO Syllabus consists of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Computer Aptitude and General Awareness about Economy/ Banking. Preparing according to the syllabus of the exam will help candidates to score good marks in the exam.

SBI PO Main Exam Pattern

SBI PO 2020 Main Exam Pattern Highlights: 

  • The exam is held in online mode.

  • There are 155 objective-type and a letter/ essay writing questions weighing to 50 marks.

  • The duration of objective paper is 3 hours, while for subjective paper, it is 30 minutes.

  • This paper has 4 sections in the objective paper (Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General Awareness about Economy/ Banking, English language).

  • In the subjective paper, you have to write a Letter and an Essay.


SBI PO Personal Interview Pattern

SBI PO Group Exercise & Personal Interview Pattern:

  • Candidates who qualify SBI PO Main, appear for the GD/PI rounds.

  • Marks for Group Exercise round are 20.

  • Marks for Personal Interview round are 30.

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2020 – Prelims (Phase I)

SBI PO Preliminary exam is the primary stage for the process of recruiting Probationary Officers. Candidates after qualifying SBI PO Preliminary will be able to appear for SBI Main. The marks secured obtained in the first phase will not be considered for final selection or in total marks.

  • During the Exam, Candidates appearing for SBI PO Recruitment Exam will be given a desktop per head, where all the instructions and guidelines will be given that need to be followed by them. 

  • They have to answer them one by one. For English section, candidates have to answer in English Language only, whereas, for Quants and Reasoning Section, Paper will be set in English and Hindi.

  • There is no provision of sectional cut off. A candidate need not to clear the minimum qualifying marks in each section of the test, but overall cut off to get selected for the subsequent rounds.

SBI PO Exam Pattern for Descriptive Test

In SBI PO Main Exam, the second level is Descriptive Test. It will be taken immediately after the Objective test: the following bulletings will give you a moderate idea about the SBI PO Descriptive test: 

  • The mode of exam is online.

  • Candidates will be allotted with one Computer system where the candidates write down answers as per their choice.

  • Candidates are given 30 minutes to the complete descriptive paper

  • There are a total of 2 questions in this section namely Letter writing and Essay Writing.

  • Each question is of 25 marks.

Note : The Descriptive Paper of a candidate will be checked only after the candidate qualifies the Objective test.

Ans. Except the Descriptive Test for English Language, all the other tests are bilingual, i.e. available in both English and Hindi.

Question: Is there Negative Marking in SBI PO Exam?

Ans. Yes, there is negative marking for wrong answer in the objective tests of both Preliminary and Mains Exam of SBI PO 2020. One fourth of the total marks allotted for that question will be deducted for marking a wrong answer.
