India's first Green Hydrogen Hub under the National Green Hydrogen Mission is being developed at Pudimadaka, near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 January 2025. The project, jointly developed by NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and the Government of Andhra Pradesh's NREDCAP, will host 20 GW of renewable energy capacity, 1,500 TPD of green hydrogen and 7,500 TPD of green hydrogen derivatives.
