Question

If 14 # 2 = 80, 10 # 4 = 70 and 20 # 6 = 130, then find the value of 8 # 12.

This question was previously asked in
RRB ALP/Technician 2018 CBT 2 Electronics Mechanic Question Paper (23-Jan-2019) (Shift 1)
The correct answer is

100

The rule is \(a\#b=5(a+b)\). It yields \(5(14+2)=80,\quad5(10+4)=70,\quad5(20+6)=130\). Therefore \(8\#12=5(8+12)=100\).
