RRB ALP selection process consists of multiple stages. Candidates have to qualify at each applicable stage to be considered for final selection.
CBT 1 is a screening test and is used to shortlist candidates for CBT 2. Candidates are shortlisted for CBT 2 on the basis of RRB-wise and community-wise merit, subject to the prescribed shortlisting ratio.
For candidates shortlisted for CBAT, the final merit is prepared using 50% weightage of CBT 2 Part A and 50% weightage of CBAT, subject to qualifying the prescribed CBAT requirements.
RRB ALP is a Pay Level 2 post under the 7th Central Pay Commission. The initial basic pay is ₹19,900. Selected candidates are also eligible for applicable allowances and benefits as per Railway rules.
