Question

Following the two statements and two conclusions, assume the given information to be true, even if it is at variance with commonly known facts, and decide which of the logical conclusions follow from the statements.

Statements:

Some goats are wheels.

All roads are wheels.

Some cars are roads.

Conclusions:

II. All goats are cars.

This question was previously asked in
SSC GD 2018 Question Paper Hindi (11-Mar-2019) (Shift 3)
The correct answer is

Only conclusion I follows.

Only conclusion I follows. is correct.

From "Some cars are roads" and "All roads are wheels", the cars that are roads are also wheels, so "Some cars are wheels" definitely follows. Conclusion I follows.

Goats are linked to wheels only through "Some goats are wheels"; nothing connects goats to cars, so "All goats are cars" cannot be concluded. Conclusion II does not follow.
