The correct answer is

12.5%

Let's assume the cost price of the goods is \(C\).

The shopkeeper marks his goods 50% more than the cost price. Therefore, the marked price (M) is:

\(M = C + 0.5C = 1.5C\)

He allows a discount of 25% on the marked price. The selling price (S) is:

\(S = M - 0.25M = 0.75M\)

Substitute the value of \(M\) from the first equation into the second equation:

\(S = 0.75(1.5C) = 1.125C\)

The profit is the difference between the selling price and the cost price:

\(Profit = S - C = 1.125C - C = 0.125C\)

To find the profit percentage, divide the profit by the cost price and multiply by 100:

\(Profit\% = \frac{0.125C}{C} \times 100 = 12.5\%\)

Therefore, the shopkeeper's profit percentage is 12.5%.
