  • The exam is conducted for 2 Groups namely Group A (Scale I, Scale II, Scale III), and Group B (Office Assistant).

IBPS, conducting the body of the RRB exam has released the official dates for the exam. Candidates can go through the following table to know about the same:

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB 2021 Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern slightly varies as per the posts. However, some of the features are common for all prelims and main exam which are mentioned below:

  • The exams will be conducted in an online mode that is a computer-based test.
  • Each paper has objective type multiple choice questions only.
  • Candidates will have an option to answer the questions in Hindi or English language.
  • Also, they will have to choose between English and Hindi as one of the sections for the exam.
  • There is a provision of negative marking as well. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 or ¼ mark will be deducted.

IBPS RRB 2021 Exam Pattern-Office Assistant

Candidates appearing for the post of Office Assistant have to go through 2 Phases- Preliminary and Main exam.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale I

IBPS RRB 2021 Exam Pattern (Officer Scale I)

Candidates appearing for Scale I have to go through 2 Phases-Prelims and Main in order to get shortlisted for Personal Interview Round.

Candidates passing the Main exam have to attend the IBPS RRB Common Interview round. In this round, a candidate’s personality and communication skills will be examined. Check IBPS RRB 2021 Cutoff

IBPS RRB Officer Scale II

IBPS RRB 2021 Exam Pattern–Officer Scale-II

Candidates applying for Officer Scale-II will have to appear for a single online examination and successful candidates will be shortlisted to appear for Common Interview for final recruitment in various RRBs. Scale II has 2 posts to offer which are as follows:

  • Scale-II – General Banking Officer
  • Scale-II – Specialist Cadre

The exam pattern for Scale II of IBPS RRB is different in terms of sections and timings. Mentioned below are the patterns for both posts.

Yes you are very eligible to apply for Officer scale 3 posts as the maximum permissible age limit is 40 years. The post requires a candidate to be UG qualified with atleast 50% marks and minimum 5 years of working experience in bank or other financial institution.
