IBPS RRB 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

The applicants are required to fulfill the citizenship and age criteria defined by IBPS. The guidelines on the following are as follows:


  • Candidate must be an Indian National or
  • A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan or Tibetan Refugee who have settled in India.
  • Migrated candidates from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, The United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of settling in India are eligible to apply for RRB recruitment process.

Age criteria 

The upper and lower age limit for candidates applying for IBPS RRB is as follows:

Age relaxation is also provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Candidates belonging to SC/ST get age relaxation of 5 years. The age relaxation of 3 years is given to the OBC candidates.

IBPS RRB 2020 Application Fee and Mode of Payment 

IBPS RRB Application Fee varies according to the reservation category of candidates. Application fee payment has to be done from June 18-July 4, 2020. IBPS RRB 2020 Application Fee details are as follows:

How to pay IBPS RRB Application Fee? 

When IBPS RRB application form is completely filled by the candidate, the system auto-directs the applicant to the payment page. The application fee payment gateway comes on the screen showing the options for payment. Select one of the modes as asked or shown on the screen and complete the payment of the IBPS RRB application fee. The payment once done will generate a notification on the screen.

Prerequisites for IBPS RRB 2020 Registration 

Candidates should keep some information handy before applying for IBPS RRB Application Form. These requirements are as follows:

  1. An active mobile number, email id and correspondence address.
  2. Scanned copy of passpost size Photograph,
  3. Scanned copy of candidate’s Signature,
  4. Scanned copy of candidate’s Left Thumb Impression
  5. Scanned copy of Hand Written Declaration by candidate
  6. Keep the Credit/Debit card or banking details ready to make IBPS RRB Application Fee payment.

IBPS RRB 2020 Registration Process 

IBPS RRB Application Process 2020 will begin from must be June 18-July 4, 2020. The application process requires the applicant to complete the registration process first the application form followed by IBPS RRB application fee payment. A candidate can apply for all the posts available, he is eligible. The IBPS RRB application form must be filled separately for each post.

The IBPS RRB 2020 application form can be filled using the following steps

Step I: Registration

Below mentioned are the steps to be followed for IBPS RRB Online Registration:

  • Visit the official website of Institute of Banking
  • Click on “Click Here to Apply Online for CRP RRBs-VIII
  • A login page will flash on the screen, click on “Click Here for New Registration”
  • Now, Click on the Post you want to apply for.
  • Fill the basic personal (First name, Middle Name and last name) and communication details (mobile number, landline with STD code and e-mail ID)
  • Confirm the details by re-entering them and verify the same.
  • Enter the security code and click on ‘Save and Next’

Post saving the details a provisional Registration ID and Password is generated and displayed on the screen which must be saved by the candidates. The registration ID and password is unique and must not be told to anyone. An E-mail and SMS regarding the same are also sen to the candidate.

Step 2: Uploading Documents

The next step after completing Online Registration is to upload candidates photograph, signature, left thumb impression and hand written declaration as specified. Candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps to upload the documents:

Read IBPS RRB Photo Size, Dimensions and Other Details 

  • Re-Login by entering the provisional registration number and password received.
  • Click on the link to ‘Upload the Photograph’
  • Browse to the location where the Scanned Photograph has been saved
  • Select the Photograph
  • Click on Upload/Open button.

Follow the same steps to upload the scanned images of signature, left thumb impression and hand written declaration.

Step 3: Filling IBPS RRB Application Form

Post uploading the images, candidate is redirected to the details page where he/she has to enter the necessary details. The steps for the same are given below:

  • There are three tabs on the page namely Basic, Qualification/Experience/Language and Survey
  • Under the Basic Tab, enter the category with correct category code, religion, nationality and disability information.
  • Enter the choice of IBPS RRB Exam Center with correct state code for both preliminary and main examination.
  • Mention the personal details (gender, father’s name, mother’s name etc.)
  • Communication details such as correspondence address, permanent address with pin code and state is also asked.
  • Under the Qualification/Experience/Language, mention the details of the Bachelor’s degree i.e. subject, type of bachelor’s degree, year of passing and percentage obtained.
  • Enter the old and present work experience with name of the employer, designation, year of service etc.
  • Mention your proficient languages, states and preferred RRBs.
  • Under the survey tab, mention the choice of organizations where you desire to be recruited and preview the details mentioned in the form.
  • After filling the details, click on ‘I agree’ to declare that the information entered in the form is authentic and true.

Post verification of all the details, click on Submit. The details cannot be changed after submission so be very careful. Preview the details and double tick on the details entered in IBPS RRB Online Application before submission.

Step 4: Payment of IBPS RRB Application Fee

After final submission of IBPS RRB Online Application, the candidates have to pay the application fee through online mode. The steps followed for the payment process is mentioned below:

  • Choose the payment option among Debit Card, Credit Card, IMPS, Net banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
  • In case of Debit Card, enter card number, expiry date and CVV number.
  • In case of Credit Card, enter card number and PIN
  • If you choose Net banking, enter the bank details asked.
  • For IMPS, add beneficiary by mentioning account details of the organization to which you desire to transfer the money.
  • If you desire to pay the fee through Mobile Wallets/Cash Cards, enter the login details asked.
  • After entering and verifying the details, click on Pay.

Step 5: Confirmation

This is the last step of the IBPS RRB Online Application Process. The steps after carrying out the payment is mentioned below:

  • After the final submission and payment, an additional page of IBPS RRB Online Application is displayed.
  • Enter the requisite details by following the instructions mentioned.
  • An e-receipt is generated after the successful payment of fee. Print the e-receipt.
  • Print the final IBPS RRB Online Application Form displayed on the screen.

In case of unsuccessful transaction or non-payment of application fee, the candidate must re-login using the provisional number and password to repay the fee by carrying out the process in step 4 mentioned above.

IBPS RRB 2020 Application Form Correction 

IBPS RRB Application Form once filled cannot be edited. The option to edit the application form is applicable or available only before the “Final Submit” button. The “Save and Next” option is provided so that all the particulars can be proofread again and the changes can be done. The candidate must keep in mind that no changes can be done in the IBPS application form after the payment of fees.

Particulars to fill in IBPS RRB Registration 

Candidates have to fill the following details in IBPS RRB 2020 Application Form:

  1. Name: Same as mentioned in class 10 matriculation certificate.
  2. Date of Birth: The date of birth must match the class 10 certificate.
  3. Mobile number: A functional mobile number that can be used for future communication.
  4. Email ID: A functional email id that can be used for future communication.
  5. Security code: It appears at the end of the page of registration. Copy the captcha code.
  6. Upload photograph and signature: Upload the same according to the guidelines given.
  7. Candidates’ Preferences: Candidates have to state their preferred exam centers, RRBs, and States in the application form.

IBPS RRB Admit Card 2020 can be downloaded from the official website in the month of July for Prelims exam and pre-exam training.

Steps to Download the RRB Admit Card:

1. Open the official website IBPS.

2. Click on the CWE RRBs link from table of content.

3. Check for the link for the admit card download. There is a different link for office assistant/ officer scale-1/ officer scale-2/ officer scale-3.

4. Provide your user ID and password.

5. Download the RRB admit card.

Ques. Why is the online page loading slowly?

Ans.  Check your internet connection. Try after a gap of 15 minutes as there are many applicants working on the IBPS RRB registration system.

Ques. How to be sure about whether my registration is complete or not?

Ans.  You will get the Registration ID and password in your email and SMS if your registration is complete.

Ques. What if, I did not receive the email intimation for registration?

ANS. Check your spam folder or blocked messages. These are auto-generated email. They must be received in the mailbox. Do not send a mail for such auto-generated messages.

Ques. Can I re-confirm if my application is saved?

Ans. Yes, login to the IBPS RRB portal and print the application again and not fill the application again.

Ques. What if I get Zero- registration number with valid password?

Ans. This happens in rare case, if it happens, re-fill the RRB application form.

Ques.After filling up the complete form, I got Blank Screen / Internet got disconnected / My PC closed/ hanged / shutdown. Is my application saved/ registered?

Ans. Try to login to the portal. If you can access the portal then you have successfully registered. Else you have to do it again.

Ques. What details should I give while writing for the problem?

Ans. The details about the full name, date of birth, mobile number and registration number.

Ques. I want to change/correct the details I entered in the Application?

Ans. Select the “Edit” option before the final submission. This will give you the chance to edit details. After final submission, the details cannot be edited online.

HI vishal. SBI always gives an option to the candidates to apply from another state, and centre of examination could be of their own choice. They don’t have to move to the place they are applying from.

Hi Neha. Post verification all the details filled while applying only, candidates must click on Submit. All the details filled while applying cannot be changed, so it is important to submit all the details carefully.
