Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released UPSC CDS 1 Admit Card 2021 on its official website for the posts of 345 vacancies. Candidates who have applied for the CDS (1) 2021 examination, can download their admit card using the Registration ID and the Roll No.

Given below are highlights for the paper pattern of the competitive examination.

Ques. When can I submit an online application for a particular examination? Can I apply any time during the year for a particular examination?

Ans. Candidates can apply for the examination only within the time frame notified by the conducting body. The complete and detailed information is available on Commission's website

Ques. When is the CDS exam result declared?​

Ans. CDS result is declared within 2 months of examination is held. The result for CDS I 2021 is expected to be declared in May 2021.

Ques. How many times CDS exam is conducted in a year?

Ans. CDS examination is conducted twice a year i.e. CDS I in the month of February and CDS II in the month of November.

Ques. I got Blank / Zero Registration No. after the submission of my online application form. What should I do?

Ans. If you do not receive the registration number, this may mean that the application has not been submitted successfully and you are required to apply afresh.​

Ques. How long is the Registration window open for CDS?

Ans. The Registration window is generally open for 20-25 days. Applicants should not wait for a last-minute rush, instead, apply in the initial days of application release.

Hi. First of all, go through the syllabus first, candidates must be good in general Mathematics, English and GK, as it is all a part of the syllabus of the CDS exam. Always study the syllabus of the exam because that will help you to understand what they might ask in CDS exam paper.

The eligibility criteria per post offered by CDS 2021 varies accordingly and entirely depends on the post you are willing to pursue further. The minimum educational qualification necessary is graduation from a recognized university. According to your academic background, you are eligible to apply for IMA and OTA posts respectively.

Which exam Is tougher, CDS or NDA?

Hi. NDA exam is quite tough as compared to CDS because it has high level mathematics whereas in CDS you only have elementary mathematics. GS part is tough is CDS as compared to NDA. SSB is easier for NDA entry as compared to CDSE entry.

What must be the ideal size of the scanned photograph and the signature?

Hi. Image size & quality are very important, so please take care of its size & pixels while scanning & editing your photograph and signature. The candidates must scan his/her signature that has been put on white paper with black ink pen. Each of the scanned images of the photograph/signature should not exceed 40 KB in size.

Hi. Both formats are accepted as long as they are as per the given specifications and quality of photograph is good enough to be identifiable and acceptable. But make sure they are not blur.

Hi. The images of the photograph and signature must be scanned in the .jpg format. No other format is acceptable by the online system. So make sure you follow the instructions mentioned. For more details on CDS exam, refer here.

Good evening sir, Sir If I pass in CDS and if I fail in SSB interview then I suppose to write the exam again or should I just give the SSB interview?

SSB interview process is available for those candidates only who qualify the CDS entrance test with equal to more than qualifying marks. If you fail interview round, then next year you have to start again from CDS entrance exam and if you qualigy, you will be called for further selection rounds. Before applying for the exam, check details of eligibility as well.
