UPSC CMS 2021 Section-wise Syllabus and Best Books

Every year, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) to shortlist the candidates for medical officer posts. The UPSC CMS Syllabus 2021 will be released along with the official notification of the combined medical services examination. As per the official announcement, the UPSC CMS 2021 notification will be released on May 5, 2021.

The UPSC CMS exam comprises two stages, part I and part II, and the aspirants need to qualify for each of the stages. Aspirants should be aware of the UPSC CMS selection process. In the part I exam, there are two papers, Paper I and Paper-II. The aspirants have to answer a total of 120 questions from General Medicine and Paediatrics in the paper I exam. In the paper II exam, the candidates get questions on Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine, and have to answer a total of 120 questions. Ans. The general aspirants can attempt 6 times for appearing in the UPSC CMS exam. However, the OBC candidates can apply for 7 times and the SC/ST candidates can apply unlimited times till their 37 years of age.
