Union Public Service Commission will declare the cut off of UPSC CMS 2020 exam along with the final result for both the stages of the examination i.e. computer-based test and personality test. Applicants have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks that are UPSC CMS cut off 2020 in the CBT to be eligible for the next stage of the selection process i.e. personality test/interview.

UPSC will conduct the UPSC Combined Medical Services (CMS) on October 22, 2020. The minimum qualifying marks for General, OBC, SC, and ST candidates is 30% marks in each paper whereas 20% in each paper for PH-1 candidates. UPSC also releases the cutoff for the CMS examination after the final stage of the exam is over. The final cutoff for UPSC CMS 2020 will be based on the CBT and personality test both for the selection of the candidates.

What are UPSC CMS 2020 Cutoff Marks?

To be selected for the next phase of the CMS 2020 selection process, it is mandatory for the candidates to score the overall minimum qualifying CMS 2020 cutoff marks. The minimum cutoff marks of CMS 2020 vary according to the category of the candidates.

The overall cutoff marks for CMS 2020 are calculated on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in both the Computer-Based Test and Personality Test.

After the release of CMS 2020 cutoff marks for the Computer-Based Test by the authorities, the shortlisted candidates will be eligible to appear for the Personality Test which will be conducted by the UPSC authorities.

  • Difficulty Level of the exam: The difficulty level is another factor which has a crucial impact on the exam cut-off. The difficulty level of the paper is high, the cut-off will be lower. If the exam is easy, the cut-off increases.
  • Number of Appeared Candidates: The Number of candidates has a very little impact on the exam cut-off. The relation is directly proportional to each other i.e higher the number of candidates, higher the competition to higher is the cut-off.
