CAPF Exam is held for recruitment of candidates who have the potential of becoming future officers in Police Forces like Border Security Force(BSF), Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF), Indo-Tibetian Border Police(ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB). The candidates have to clear the written examination, Physical Examination followed by an Interview and personality test to get inducted into the training Academies of these Police Forces. After the training period, the candidates will become officers and hold the rank of Assistant Commandants(ACs) and will be posted in different battalions.

UPSC CAPF 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Commandant exam is based on factors like age, nationality, gender, academic qualification, physical standard and number of attempts. Each factor of UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria is explained below:
Candidate must be an Indian National. However, If Central Government gives consent in writing for the appointment, enrolment, or employment of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, then the candidate is eligible to appear for UPSC CAPF 2020 exam.
Both male and female candidates are eligible for UPSC Central Armed Police Force 2020 exam.

A candidate who got selected to the post of Assistant Commandant in any of the forces through an earlier exam will not be permitted to appear at a subsequent UPSC CAPF exam.
Candidates must meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for admission to UPSC CAPF Exam, 2020.
UPSC CAPF 2020 will be available online at the official website from August 18, 2020. Last day to fill the application form is September 07, 2020 till 6:00 PM. Candidates are required to apply online using the link upsconline.nic.in.
UPSC CAPF 2020 Application form will be completed in 2 parts. The first part is the registration process. On submitting this part of the application form Registration ID will be generated. In the Second part, candidate will have to log in with Registration ID and Password i.e., Date of Birth and then second part of the UPSC CAPF 2020 application form will be displayed.

Application fee for Assistant Commandant Exam 2020 can be submitted either through online or offline mode. In online mode, a candidate can pay through SBI Net Banking Facility or using Credit / Debit/ Master/Visa/ Rupay card. In offline mode, the fee can be paid in cash directly to SBI Bank branches.
For making payment by cash, the candidate should select the option “Pay by cash” and should print the system generated Pay-in-Slip during Part-II of registration for UPSC CAPF 2020 and deposit the fee at any of SBI Branch as soon as possible.
Women/ SC/ ST candidates are exempted from fee payment. Rest all applicants are supposed to pay INR 200 as registration fees.

UPSC will issue admit cards for Assistant Commandants PST/ PET/ MST in November 2020. Candidates can download Admit Card for UPSC CAPF 2020 from upsc.gov.in by logging in with their Registration ID and Password. The admit card has to be carried to the exam centre.

In case of any discrepancy or if you are unable to download the admit card, complaint should be made to the Facilitation Counter at UPSC’s office either in person or over the phone on numbers as mentioned here - 011-23381125 / 011- 23385271 / 011-23098543.
Applicants are required to indicate their preferred exam centre while registering for the exam. UPSC can allot any centre other than the one opted by the candidate. Exam centres will be allocated as per “first-register-first allot” basis and once the capacity of an exam centre exhausts then the centre will not be open for selection to any candidate. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has designed the Assistant Commandant Exam Pattern. UPSC CAPF 2020 Exam Pattern is similar to previous years’ exam pattern. The exam is held in offline mode. The recruitment process consists of 3 levels which are a Written Exam, Medical Test and Interview/ Personality Test.
UPSC CAPF 2020 Written Exam will comprise of two papers to be conducted on December 20, 2020. Paper I will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Paper II will begin from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
