SBI Clerk Prelims 2025 was generally rated easy to moderate across the shifts. The English Language section was mostly easy to moderate and offered good scoring opportunities for candidates with a strong command of grammar and vocabulary. Reading Comprehension formed an important part of the section, along with Error Detection, Fillers, Para Jumbles and word-based questions. Most questions could be attempted comfortably with proper time management.
Numerical Ability was slightly more calculation-oriented compared with the other sections. Arithmetic, Simplification and Data Interpretation contributed a major share of the questions. Arithmetic questions were based on familiar concepts such as percentage, profit and loss, ratio, average, time and work, and other basic mathematical applications.
Reasoning Ability included a significant number of questions from Puzzles and Seating Arrangements. Candidates also encountered questions from Syllogism, Inequality, Series, Direction Sense and other short reasoning topics. Solving the smaller questions first and then attempting lengthy puzzle sets was useful for managing the sectional time effectively.
The SBI Clerk 2025 selection process included the Preliminary Examination and Main Examination, followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT), wherever applicable. The Preliminary Examination was qualifying in nature, while marks obtained in the Main Examination were considered for final merit. There is no interview stage in the SBI Clerk selection process.
