Question

Who proposed the pedagogy “Learner as a Co-creator of Knowledge” ?

This question was previously asked in
MH SET 2021 Paper 2 Mathematical Science Question Paper (26-Sep-2021)
The correct answer is

Paulo Freire

The Brazilian educator Paulo Freire proposed critical pedagogy in Pedagogy of the Oppressed (1968). He rejected the 'banking model' of education, in which the teacher deposits knowledge into passive students.

In its place Freire advanced dialogical, problem-posing education, in which teacher and learner learn together and the learner is a co-creator of knowledge, developing critical consciousness (conscientization) to understand and change oppressive social conditions.

C. W. Mills is known for The Sociological Imagination, R. K. Merton for middle-range theory and manifest and latent functions, and E. B. Tylor for the classic definition of culture in Primitive Culture. None of them proposed this pedagogy.

Hence, the answer is Paulo Freire.
