Who founded the Tughluq dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate in 1320 ?
Ghiyasuddin Tughluq
The Delhi Sultanate was ruled by five dynasties in turn: Mamluk (Slave), Khalji, Tughluq, Sayyid and Lodi.
In 1320 Ghazi Malik, the governor of Dipalpur, overthrew the usurper Khusrau Khan, ending Khalji rule. He ascended the throne under the title Ghiyasuddin Tughluq and ruled until 1325, building the fort city of Tughlaqabad.
Muhammad bin Tughluq was his son and successor, Firoz Shah Tughluq came after him, and Nasiruddin Mahmud was either the Mamluk sultan of the 13th century or the last weak Tughluq ruler. None of them founded the dynasty.
Hence, Ghiyasuddin Tughluq.
